I had a mouse several years ago from Microsoft that I really enjoyed - perfect hand position, and it was stationary. Took a little getting used to, but it worked for me. But apparently I was in the minority - they discontinued it. But I’m intrigued by Microsoft Arc Mouse (Black) - it’s got the cool factor in appearance, which seems integral to the success of a new mouse (how cool can you make a mouse? Yeah, you can decorate it, but the shape is the same.) First, it folds, which is nice if you want to stash it and take it along to Starbucks. When you fold it, the mouse turns off, so you preserve battery life (a very nice feature). It also has precise laser tracking - better than optical. And, well, it’s really cool looking.
